EXPORT CONFIGURATION

Complete system geometry and related system data can be export into arbitrary external data sources, and it enables connecting to OLE DB Compliant databases (Access, Oracle, SQL Server,...). To enable that, the drawing must be connected with the data source where the data are saved.

 

The following types of external data sources are supported:

 

Database                                     OLE DB Compliant database with available windows provider

 

LandXML                                     LandXML format, defined by www.landxml.org

 

SHP / TAB                                   ESRI shape files and Mapinfo TAB files

 

Text                                             Each ASCII file containing information stored column based

System data for export will always be show inside of the left part of the dialog. You can select system data using data picker. Select the data you want to export and click Add button .

 

According to the selected type of data source the properties for the source can vary. Especially for database connections it is necessary to define additional parameters for the export.

 

 image150.gif Steps to create or modify the export configuration definition for SHP export:

 

1)     From the context menu with right mouse button select New or Edit

2)     Set the name, select the SHP type for the data source 

3)     Specify the file and file path in the data source path

4)     Select system data with the data picker and map those data for export

5)     Define export configuration definition or changes with button OK

 

 

 

Run / Show

 

Each configuration can be executed with the command Run / Show, available from the context menu. With this command, the geometry or data or both will be exported into the selected external data source.
